Horn Pond

Looking down on Horn Pond from nearby Mount Towanda, it is easy to see why the Aberiginian Tribe referred to it as “Innitou” or “Mirror of the Spirit”. Its sparkling waters come alive beneath a full sun, and sounds of children and families fill the air as they enjoy recreational opportunities in the 133-acre pond and surrounding 500 acres of conservation area.

The pond itself offers the perfect setting for kayaking. Its protected waters make it an ideal location for first time paddlers, while its many coves, submerged island grove, and scenic shoreline make it an exciting place for any would-be adventurer. It’s the perfect place to relax on a long lunch, or get a great workout in paddling around the lake. Or, bring the whole family! Kids will love getting introduced to paddling in a low stress, fun and exploration environment.

Paddle a quick distance across the lake to the beach at Lions Park, then hop out and let the kids run around the park or explore the trails that line the lake. Come join us at Horn Pond, and discover why residents and visitors alike make this area the center of their outdoor recreation!
