Private Winter Coastal Paddle Tours in New England
A Private, fully-outfitted and guided way to experience the New England coast in its quietest season.
Private Winter Paddle Tours
Winter transforms the coastline. The crowds disappear, the light softens, and the water takes on a stillness thatβs rare the rest of the year. Our Private Winter Coastal Paddle is a chance to experience that season with expert guidance, specialized gear, and plenty of room to slow down.
Itβs not about pushing limits or braving the elements. Itβs about exploring a side of New England most people never see, at a pacing and level of paddling that meet you where you are.
Why Paddle in Winter?
Winter paddling is quieter. The coastline feels expansive. Wildlife sightings are often better. The experience is less about distance and more about presence in a novel environment. And most importantly, itβs much easier and more accessible than most people think.
With the right conditions, the right gear, and the right guide, winter becomes one of the most rewarding seasons to be on the water.
We schedule these paddles thoughtfully β choosing calm mornings, sheltered routes, and days when the experience feels inviting rather than intimidating.
What Makes This Experience Different?
Weβve been leading groups of paddlers onto the water in winter for years, but these private tours offer a whole different type of experience.

Winter Kayaking in New england FAQs
Do I need winter paddling experience?
1
Not at all. Many guests are first-time winter paddlers. Comfort around water and a desire to be led through a new experience are more important than experience.
What should I wear?
2
Warm, insulating layers underneath the dry suit. Weβll send specific guidance closer to your trip based on conditions. For most customers, this wonβt require running out to acquire anything you donβt already have.
What if the weather changes?
3
If conditions arenβt right, weβll reschedule or refund β no pressure, no penalties.
A quiet Season, experienced well
