Santa Barbara Benefit Paddle

Benefit Paddle Event
To Support the City of Santa Barbara

A letter from Ashley-

My heart has been devastated by the recent tragedies that have struck California,
and Santa Barbara in particular.  Many of you probably do not know, but Santa Barbara
holds a very special place in my heart.  I went to school in California for a few
years and fell in love with the city, the landscape and the community.  I never
thought I would leave, but sometimes life chooses a different path for you.

Not only did I live there and absolutely fall in love with it, Aaron and I got married
there the same year that Coast to Coast opened its doors.  Truth be told, part of
the reason I was on board with opening Coast to Coast was the hope that it would
bring me back to Santa Barbara on a more regular basis ;).

It is with a heavy heart that I watched as the wild-fires hit Ventura and the surrounding
Santa Barbara community.  My old roommate and one of my best friends still lives
there with her beautiful family, and hearing the devastation from her was absolutely
horrible.  Not long after the community started to rebuild from the wildfires, tragic
mudslides destroyed the Montecito Area- a place where I lived at one point and spent
so much of my time.  It was so difficult to see this absolutely gorgeous, magical,
and blessed area be destroyed by these mudslides.

So many people lost their homes between the wild fires and mudslides, but the community
is standing tall and coming together to help one another begin the healing and rebuilding
process.  I want to do what I can to help.  I am hoping that you will consider joining
us on Saturday, February 24th for a Paddle for a Cause.  100% of the proceeds from
the paddle will be donated to the community of Santa Barbara to help the rebuilding
process.  If you cannot join us for the paddle but would like to contribute to the
donation, every dollar is appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you will join us on Saturday
Feb 24th!
XO Ashley
